What have we done for you lately? EMH Impact Assessment!

On October 1st two meetings were held between EMH & its residents. EMH invited residents to two meetings so we could update you on activities that were carried out in 2006/7 and to find out what you thought about them. We also wanted to find out what you thought we should do and how you would like to be involved in 2008.
EMH staff gave brief presentations on some of the involvement activities from 2006/7 such as the Emerald Project, tenant led improvements, Regional Committee and Board Member Recruitment, the service promises review and other topics. We asked you what you thought about these activities, what we could do to improve them, which ones worked and those that didn’t.
We also asked you what you thought about helping us decide how the resident involvement budget should be spent next year and we had a mixed response. Some of you were very keen to be involved and some thought that it should be left EMH staff. We asked if you thought residents would like to run the annual resident conference next year and some residents volunteered to work with us.
Ideas and comments collected from these meeting will be incorporated into EMHs impact assessment and a copy of the report will be available at the end of November. If you would like a copy please contact policy&info@emha.org
