EMH backs estate clean-up

Staff from East Midlands Housing joined forces with North West Leicestershire District Council to carry out a spring clean on the Agar Nook estate in Coalville.
Housing officers Sue Goddard and Barbara Noble were joined by maintenance officer John Thornley on a tour of the estate.They helped clear rubbish, talked to residents and checked if any further improvements were needed.
“We were pleased to work in partnership with the council on this initiative,” said Graeme Stewardson, head of housing for EMH “We have invested in improvements to the estate and have helped transform the area with a range of environmental schemes, a new play area, an extended community centre and new shops.
“We now hope that after the spring clean residents will play their part in keeping the estate tidy.”
