EMH Tenants give service the thumbs up!
11/10/2007
In Spring 2007 the National Housing Federation's Feedback service carried out an independent survey of EMH tenants. The findings have now been published, and are encouraging. The NHF's report concludes:
"Overall satisfaction remains just as high as it was in 2004, while there have been noticeable increases in resident satisfaction with the repairs service and resident information/participation. East Midlands Housing’s residents are more likely to be satisfied with the services they receive compared with residents at other similar social landlords in the chosen peer group; with many ratings were in the top three. ."
The postal survey, comprising 52 questions, was sent to 1,600 residents selected from each of EMH’s areas and from sheltered housing schemes.
The NHF Feedback report continues:
"The results from the survey demonstrate convincingly that East Midlands Housing residents believe that the Association is providing a good housing service. Residents are particularly satisfied with their landlord, accommodation, condition of property, repair service, keeping residents informed and the helpfulness of staff. There is no better endorsement than the finding that the majority of residents (83%) would recommend East Midlands Housing to family and friends."
The findings have been reported to EMH's Board of Management, and the diversity related findings have been reported to our Equality and Diversity Scrutiny Panel. An action plan is being produced responding to the findings.
