Maggie Bodell-Stagg (Chair)

Maggie joined the Board in 2009. A former deputy leader of Leicester City Council, Maggie was the city's Mayor in 2002/2003. Maggie has voluntary and professional experience of dealing with hostels and homelessness in organisations such as the Salvation Army and Adullam Homes.

Ian Walters (Vice Chair)

Ian is a tenant representative on the Board. He is retired after working in management for most of his career, most recently as deputy community service organiser with Northamptonshire Probation Service. He has been an active tenant of East Midlands Housing Association (EMHA) for more than a decade, participating in a range of groups and activities.  He was part of the team when East Midlands Housing was in discussions with Blaby District Council during the stock transfer proposals.  Ian has been chairman of the Residents' Social Committee of Abingdon Lodge in Northampton for more than six years.  He was elected vice chair of EMHA in 2010.

Derek Lambourne, AIB (Scot), FPC (Financial Planning Certificate), CeMAP (Qualified Mortgage Broker), Part Qualified Chartered Accountant

Derek is a finance and mortgage broker and joined the Board in 2000. He has extensive experience in banking, building societies, accountancy and housing finance.

Mo Murray, BA Hons

Mo was director of Care & Repair (West Leicestershire) Limited for 19 years until her retirement in September 2007. She was involved in Women's Aid and in front-line housing and community development initiatives before taking over Care & Repair. Mo joined the Board in 2004.

Richard Monk, BSc (Hons) Civil Engineering, DMS, MBA

Richard is a managing director at Whitefriars Housing Group, leading the teams responsible for housing operations and regeneration. He joined the Board in 2004 and has had a diverse career spanning private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Richard has extensive experience in corporate organisational and cultural change programmes.

Chan Kataria, BSc (Hons), FCIH, MBA

Chan is Chief Executive of East Midlands Housing Group and was co-opted to the EMHA Board in 2004. He has held numerous positions at senior level in both housing association and local authority sectors since he joined the movement in 1985.

Sheila Chung, Postgraduate Diploma in Housing, MSc Housing

Sheila is a regional policy and practice officer with the Chartered Institute of Housing. She has worked as a local authority housing officer and development officer and therefore has experience of a wide range of housing issues. Sheila joined the Board in 2008.

Mohammed Saeed Jeewa, MSc, BSc (Hons)

Sid is a freelance disability equality consultant and trainer and works within the commercial, public and voluntary sectors to bring together the ‘social model of disability' and inclusion. He has personal experience of disability and has worked in the equality field since 1995. He was co-opted to the Board in 2008.
