Our successes

Below are just some of our most recent success stories.

10th anniversary

Our Customer Service Centre (CSC) has celebrated its 10th anniversary and is now also providing its services to our sister organisation Foundation Housing Association (FHA).

"We have seen big improvements in CSC performance for both EMHA and FHA customers which is brilliant news", says Dave Morris, head of customer services at EMHA.

"As well as continuing to invest in staff development and enhancing our technology, we will be working with our customers to further shape and improve the service going forward".

Tackling anti-social behaviour

East Midlands Housing Association (EMHA) and its sister organisation Foundation Housing Association (FHA) were awarded a £5,000 grant by the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) to run a pilot project on anti-social behaviour (ASB). Chris Ashton, managing director of EMHA addresses the ASB conference in Beaumont Leys

The project was designed to find the best ways of dealing with bad behaviour and involved youngsters from Leicester-based Streetvibe Young People's Service who were asked their views on ASB and how to deal with it.

A total of 60 youngsters, aged between 13 and 25, took part in informal ASB consultations sessions in the Highfields, Kirby Frith and Beaumont Leys areas of the city.

Their ideas for cutting ASB included regular police patrols, more sports and social community activities and the involvement of youth workers.

EMHA and FHA also held a conference at the NSPCC centre in Beaumont Leys to bring together partners including the police, Council and residents.

The project was prasied by Phil Morgan, Executive Director of Tenant Service at the TSA.
